Just for fun I painted my cat Surfy in the studio. It was around Christmas time and he always used to sit and look up at me. That is something the Birman cat breed does. I sold the painting to a tourist walking through Stanlye Park with his family. He was from Taiwan. He took one look at the painting and bought it. I think it was because he went to school always wearing a bowtie. Then again he could have recognized the Birman story - they say that there is a Buddist monk in the soul of every Birman cat.
