24x36 Acrylic on Canvas
Sitting in the Ferry parking lot on the opposite side of our island, the sun was going down in a orange glory. The Quinsom ferry was just coming in to Nanaimo, BC. I pulled out my camera and snapped this photo. I used pyrolean orange as the background colour and the manganese blue, ultramarine blue and blending created a magical sky. I stopped painting in amazement. It was a glorious painting.
