This was another painting by palette knife work on a black canvas. There is a sculpting feeling in creating with the palette knife using total arm and wrist movements and the entire body. It is an incredible oneness as the painting emerges, a sort of magic. Their are constant decisions to be made as to how much of the black background to fill in or not and improv techniques developed to feel the movement of the tree branches and needles.
